  • Are you a qualified Automotive Technician with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality?

    Thomson Automotive, part of the highly respected Inchurch Automotive Network, is seeking an experienced Quality Controller / Road Tester to play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop repaired safely and to the highest standard.

    Working closely with our Workshop Controller, you'll be responsible for maintaining quality standards, supporting workshop operations, and carrying out final inspections and road tests to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

    Key duties and responsibilities:
    • Assist the Workshop Controller with the day-to-day operational management of the workshop.
    • Conduct final quality inspections on completed vehicles to ensure all repairs have been carried out correctly and meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
    • Road test vehicles to verify repairs have been completed successfully and identify any outstanding concerns.
    • Inspect vehicles for safety-related issues and ensure they are safe and ready for customer delivery.
    • Liaise with technicians to resolve any quality or workmanship concerns identified during inspections.
    • Support workshop efficiency by helping monitor workflow and reducing rework.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, road tests, and quality control processes.
    • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
    • Assist in promoting a culture of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the workshop.
    • Provide technical support and guidance where required.
    This is a full-time permanent opportunity with an immediate start available. A current driver's licence and a recognised automotive trade qualification are essential.
