  • THE OPPORTUNITY

    Tilford Auto Group is a proudly Tasmanian, family-owned automotive group with a long-standing connection to the Hobart community.

    We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused New Vehicle Stock Controller & Sales Administrator to support our new car operation. The role covers stock control, invoicing, registrations and deal processing, helping vehicles move smoothly from order through to delivery.

    The position provides accurate processing and reporting, while financial responsibility for bonus accruals, factory receivables and departmental performance remains with the relevant Sales Managers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Maintain accurate new vehicle stock records and process arrivals, transfers, dealer swaps and stock movements.
    • Prepare and process customer invoices, new vehicle registrations and ownership transfers.
    • Cost and finalise new vehicle deals following delivery.
    • Reconcile vehicle gross profit, accessories and delivery costs, escalating discrepancies to the relevant Sales Manager.
    • Process approved manufacturer incentives, bonuses and claims, and report outstanding payments for management action.
    • Assist with stock reconciliations, month-end processes and supporting information for accruals.
    • Work closely with Sales Managers, Finance, Administration and Pre-Delivery to maintain accurate information and meet deadlines.
    • Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
    ABOUT YOU:
    • Automotive stock control or vehicle administration experience is preferred; however, training may be provided to an experienced administrator.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage competing deadlines and confidently follow up outstanding information.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as part of a busy team.
    • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with Auto IT, Pentana, Vista or SAP will be highly regarded.
    • A current Australian driver's licence.
