Nepean Motor Group is a multi-franchise dealership representing eight exciting automotive brands under one roof. We're currently looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Hand to join our busy Pre-Delivery team in Penrith. This is a hands-on role that involves working primarily outdoors and plays an important part in ensuring our new vehicle stock is received, prepared and managed to the highest standard.
About the Role
Reporting to the Pre-Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the receiving, inspection and movement of new vehicles, preparing vehicles for pre-delivery, coordinating stock movements, and maintaining an organised vehicle holding yard. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure every vehicle is ready for the next stage of the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive, inspect and book in new vehicles delivered to the dealership.
- Check vehicles for transport damage and report any issues promptly.
- Remove protective transport films and complete battery preservation procedures.
- Fit stock numbers and prepare vehicles for the pre-delivery process.
- Organise and dispatch stock swap vehicles to other dealerships.
- Maintain an organised, secure and tidy vehicle holding yard.
- Move vehicles safely around the dealership as required.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and in line with dealership standards.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and dealership policies.
- Assist with other yard and operational duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:- A current manual driver's licence.
- Previous experience in a yard, dealership or vehicle detailing environment (highly regarded).
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
- A reliable, honest and proactive approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
