Roadmac is seeking an experienced Profiler Operator to join our expanding road construction operations in Western Australia. Permanent full-time and casual employment options are available for the right candidate.
The role will be primarily based in Perth, with regional travel required from time to time depending on project requirements.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for:- Operating road profiling and cold-milling equipment safely and efficiently
- Completing profiling works to specified depths, levels, grades and tolerances
- Setting up and adjusting machine controls and levelling systems
- Conducting daily pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance
- Monitoring cutting tools, drums, conveyors and water systems
- Coordinating with supervisors, surveyors, truck drivers and ground personnel
- Maintaining accurate daily records and reporting plant faults
- Delivering work in accordance with project, safety and quality requirements
About You
To be considered, applicants should have:- A minimum of five years' experience operating road profilers or cold-milling machines
- Demonstrated experience completing asphalt and pavement profiling works
- Strong knowledge of profiling depths, levels, grades and surface tolerances
- Experience operating machine levelling, grade-control and automation systems
- A Construction Industry White Card
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Relevant plant tickets or verified competencies
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and equipment care
- The ability to work independently and as part of a paving or road construction crew
- Flexibility to undertake regional work when required
- Full Australian working rights
Experience on Wirtgen or similar profiling equipment and exposure to local government, major road construction or Main Roads WA projects will be highly regarded.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and verification of qualifications and experience.
