Ozrica Foods is a locally owned business offering quality meat products for any taste and every appetite. We specialise in traditional South African dry and fresh meats.
We require a Butcher to join our team in Redland Bay, QLD.
The role's main focus is to select, cut, trim, prepare and arrange meat for sale and supply, operate meat and smallgoods processing machines, and manage the processes in the production of smallgoods.
Duties & Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:- Assist with operational tasks such as menu design, inventory scheduling, and food cost estimation;
- Debone, trim, and portion meat by cutting, mincing and grinding into custom retail cuts for display and customer orders;
- Formulate proprietary spice blends, pickling brines, and custom seasonings from scratch;
- Manage processing equipment including automated sausage fillers, smoking chambers, and cooking vats;
- Operate commercial machinery safely to grind, mix, mince, and tenderize raw materials;
- Prepare value-added products including crumbed, marinated, seasoned, and cured specialty meats;
- Provide expert customer service by advising on optimal cooking methods and product selection;
- Select premium trimmings to manufacture high-quality smallgoods and artisanal products, etc.
Requirements:- A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or;
- An AQF Certificate IV and at least one year of relevant post-qualification employment experience or;
- At least three years of relevant employment experience may substitute for the formal qualifications noted above.
This is a full time role, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
