  • G&I L.E.C are seeking 2-3 qualified A Grade Electricians to become part of a growing maintenance team based primarily within a large food processing facility in Laverton North.

    While industrial maintenance experience is highly regarded, we're also keen to hear from qualified electricians with commercial, construction or other electrical backgrounds who are looking to transition into industrial maintenance. If you're motivated to learn, training and support will be provided.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for keeping critical production equipment running smoothly through a mix of planned and reactive work, including:
    • Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
    • Breakdown response and fault finding in a live production environment
    • Repairs and general industrial electrical maintenance
    • Work across a primary food processing facility, with occasional additional industrial/commercial/residential work
    • End of shift reporting via email and team communication via WhatsApp
    • Independent evening/afternoon shift work (with team support available when required)
    Current shift available:
    Monday to Friday | 2:00pm - 10:00pm

    Weekend work may be required from time to time depending on operational requirements.

    What's on Offer:
    • $50-$60/hr base + penalties (Afternoon shift $57.50/hr)
    • Overtime paid under Electrical Award
    • Tools and uniforms provided

    Salary review may be considered after probation.

    To be successful, you'll have:
    • A current Australian A Grade Electrical Licence
    • Experience as a qualified electrician in industrial, commercial, construction or service environments
    • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
    • A willingness to develop your industrial maintenance knowledge if you're new to the sector
    • Australian Driver's Licence and own transport
    • Full Australian working rights
    • The ability to work within a food processing environment, which can be physically demanding and unclean at times
    • The ability to work independently and communicate effectively
    • A dependable work ethic and genuine interest in long-term employment
    Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, preventative maintenance or food processing will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

    You'll be working in a live production environment, where:
    • Breakdowns require quick response and practical thinking
    • Downtime matters
    • Work can be routine at times, but requires consistency and attention
    • Evening shifts often involve monitoring, walk-throughs, and reactive maintenance when required
