Knightsbridge Furniture is an established Tasmanian manufacturer specialising in high-quality commercial furniture and upholstery.
As our production continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled Upholsterer or Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our team in Wynyard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys producing high-quality furniture in a well-equipped manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Depending on your experience, your work may include:- Upholstering commercial furniture including chairs, lounges and other custom pieces
- Operating industrial sewing machines
- Sewing upholstery covers, piping, seams and other components
- Cutting and working with vinyl, fabric, leather and foam
- Patterning and preparing upholstery components
- Fitting and finishing upholstered furniture
- Working from drawings, patterns and production specifications
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of finish and workmanship
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in people with experience in:- Furniture upholstery
- Automotive, marine or commercial upholstery
- Industrial sewing
- Furniture manufacturing or trimming
You'll ideally have:- Strong practical and hand skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Pride in producing quality work
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Reliability and a positive approach to working as part of a team
