  • BOS Civil Pty Ltd and its associated businesses operate in the construction industry in WA. We specialise in high quality civil engineering projects for both private and government clients.

    We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Estimator to join our Osborne Park team in a full time role.

    The Construction Estimator is responsible for supporting the estimating and tendering function by preparing accurate material take-offs, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and assisting in the development of competitive and commercially sound tender submissions. The role plays a key part in ensuring tenders are well-informed, risks are identified early, and pricing is aligned with actual delivery requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and contract documents to understand project scope
    • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs across civil disciplines, including earthworks, drainage, pavements and services
    • Assist with BOQs, cost plans, pricing breakdowns and tender submissions
    • Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, ambiguities and potential commercial risks within tender documentation
    • Coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring scopes, drawings and specifications are clearly communicated
    • Obtain, follow up, level and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations, identifying exclusions, qualifications and pricing risks
    • Assist with construction methodologies, staging, programmes, resource requirements, plant selection and temporary works
    • Support pricing of preliminaries, indirect costs and other project allowances
    • Track tender addenda and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in pricing
    • Identify key delivery risks, including ground conditions, service clashes, access, staging and environmental constraints
    • Assist with tender qualifications, assumptions, clarifications and commercial reviews
    • Maintain accurate and organised records of take-offs, quotations, correspondence and pricing inputs
    • Support the handover of estimating information to project delivery teams
    • Ensure tender pricing considers HSEQ requirements and relevant ISO systems
    • Work closely with estimators, project teams and management throughout the tender process
    • Participate in tender reviews and post-tender debriefs, contributing to continuous improvement
    Applicants will have:
    • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
    • 2+ years' experience in a Quantity Scheduler, Estimating, or Project Engineering role
    • Exposure to civil infrastructure or land development projects (preferred)
    • Understanding of Australian Standards and typical civil specifications
    • Full working rights in Australia
    Desirable:
    • Experience with estimating software (e.g. Expert Estimation, Benchmark, Candy, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Jobpac or similar ERP systems
    • Site experience or background in project delivery
    A salary between $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
