TOP FLAVOURS PTY LTD T/a Swaad E India Authentic Indian Cuisine (located at Shop 9/ 3290 Surfers Paradise Blvd, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217) is currently seeking a skilled Curry Chef to join their team full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook various type of Curries with authentic Indian taste.
- Prepare and cook food meeting dietary requirements where required.
- Plan menus and adjust existing dishes, including pricing, while keeping overhead costs minimal.
- Ensure proper seasoning, garnishing, and portion control for all dishes served.
- Apply correct freezing and preservation techniques to extend ingredient shelf life without compromising quality.
- Provide support and Training other kitchen staff.
- Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.
- Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, and minimizing waste.
- Uphold high standards in food preparation, presentation, and consistency at all times.
Applicants must have a relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related discipline and minimum 1 year experience.
Applicants will also have skills in:- Strong Knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Different cooking methods.
- Understanding ingredients and seasonings.
- Food safety and sanitation practices.
- General food preparation expertise.
- Decision Making.
- Attention to details in food presentation and safety.
- Clear and effective Communication.
- Plating and Presentation.
- Creativity in designing innovative dishes and menu.
- Excellent organisational skills for managing tasks, inventory and staff schedules
A salary of $79,500 - $82,500 will be offered to the successful candidate.
